To the Friends of the Reformation Society

Dear Friends

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

From the Frontline: Understanding the Challenges of Our Times
Please tune in to the latest From the Frontline podcast on www.FrontlineMissionSA.org. It is available on our https://fromthefrontline.podbean.com. How are we to understand the challenges of our time? How should we as Christians respond to Evolution, Situation Ethics, Hollywood degeneracy, the Cancel Culture, Globalist, New World Disorder, Great Reset, Thought Police? “See to it that no-one takes you captive through hollow and deceptive philosophy, which depends on human tradition and the basic principles of this world rather than on Christ.” Colossians 2:8

Reformation Society: The Treasury of Classic English Literature
The study of great Classics of English Literature is absolutely essential for a true education. The English Classics have played a key role in teaching individual virtues and in laying firm foundations for Western civilisation. Reading and understanding the works of William Shakespeare, John Milton, John Bunyan, Jane Austen and Charles Dickens helps us exercise our minds and enrich our experiences. Great Christian literature enables us to recognise truth, appreciate beauty and admire what is virtuous. “Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if anything is praiseworthy – meditate on such things.” Philippians 4:8

Upcoming Events: 80 Years Ago - the Real Story Behind the Attack on Pearl Harbour
Those who live in Cape Town are welcome to join the Reformation Society this Thursday evening at 6:30 pm for tea and fellowship and at 7:00 pm for a presentation on: Eighty years ago, a pivotal event occurred that dramatically altered the rest of the 20th Century. The story of what led up to the Japanese attack on the US Navy in Pearl Harbour on 7 December 1941 is fascinating and surprising. Now these things became our examples, to the intent that we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted … now all these things happened to them as examples and they were written for our admonition …” 1 Corinthians 10:6-11

Every Friday morning at 7:30 am, I have an opportunity to speak for 10-minutes on Radio Cape Pulpit (729AM) on a Christian Perspective on the News. You can access archives of previous programmes here. You can also listen online on Radio Cape Pulpit, click here.

Biblical Worldview Summit
For over 30 years, Frontline Fellowship has been organising Biblical Worldview Summits to encourage, equip and empower Christians to understand the times and know what God’s people should do (1 Chronicles 12:32). In this world of constant change and crises, Christians must be able to explain how the Word of God speaks to the issues of today. You need to know what you believe, why you believe it and how to defend it in argument. Even more importantly, you need to know how to win your friends, family, neighbours and strangers, to the Lord. “Contend for the Faith that was once for all entrusted to the saints.” Jude 3
