Letter to Members of Reformation Society 31 January 2012

Dear Friends

The Battle for the Soul of South Africa

Tonight, Tuesday, 31 st January at 9pm on Salt and Light, Radio Tygerberg, 104FM, we will be dealing with the battle for the family, the war against the unborn, the battle for the mind in the world war of worldviews. There are encouraging answers to prayer and pro-life and pro-family victories to report back on.

National Day of Repentance

The 1 st February 2012, marks the 15 th anniversary of the Legalisation of Abortion on Demand in South Africa. Africa Christian Action will be holding a funeral procession to Parliament. Gathering at 12:30, at the Keisergracht parking lot below Cape Peninsula University of Technology, we will be preceded by a hearse and march down Darling Street, left into Buitenkant Street, then into Plein Street to the Roeland Street entrance of Parliament, where a short Memorial service and wreath laying ceremony will be held in memory of the over one million babies killed by abortion in South Africa since 1997. Please dress in black, if possible. If you cannot take part in the march, you can join us at Parliament for the Prayer Vigil beginning at 1pm.

"Speak up for those who cannot speak for themselves."  Proverbs 31:8

The Causes, Consequences and Catastrophe of the First World War

Please join us this coming Thursday, 2 nd February at 7:30pm as we begin a new History Festival series on what led up to the First World War. 1914 marked the end of the greatest century of missions and the beginning of what proved to be the worst century of persecution. Most of Europe were church attenders when the First World War began, and Christians ruled the world. The catastrophic consequences of what was called the war to end all wars, continues to have devastating repercussions to this present day. It is vital that we learn from this most catastrophic event in the history of civilisation.

Livingstone Fellowship

This Sunday, 5 th February at 11am, the sermon at Livingstone Fellowship will be: Daring to Be Different.

May the Lord continue to be your strength and shield.

Yours for Reformation and Revival
