TO:  ALL MEMBERS OF THE REFORMATION SOCIETY                                         10 July 2008

Dear Friend

Greetings in the precious Name of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

Tonight, Thursday 10 July, I will be presenting a PowerPoint presentation on the Life and Legacy of Reformer, John Calvin.  Please join us for tea and fellowship from 7pm on.  The meeting will begin at 7:30pm.

By God’s grace, our Reclaiming Africa for Christ Biblical Worldview Summit at Mizpah was a tremendous time of blessing and challenge.  Over 80 participants registered from as far afield as Kenya, Uganda, Nigeria, Zimbabwe, from all around South Africa and from France and the USA.  We are now involved in the Great Commission Course with intensive missionary training and daily practicals and outreaches.  We have had the joy and privilege of leading people to Christ on the streets, in homes, outside an abortuary, at railway stations and in shopping malls.  Souls have been saved and lives have been transformed by the power of the Gospel of Christ.

Last week, Rev. Bill Bathman flew through to KwaSizabantu Mission to minister at their Youth Conference.  Despite the devastating fire which destroyed the auditorium, KSB managed to host over 5,000 young people in three tents which were joined together on the airstrip.

Rev. Bill Bathman will be giving a report back on the Youth Conference at the Sunday service of Livingstone Fellowship 11am, 13 July.  I will be continuing our series on the Ten Commandments, tackling the Fourth Commandment this Sunday.

We also plan to screen a short DVD clip on the devastating fire at KwaSizabantu before the presentation on Thursday at the Reformation Society meeting.

Please continue to uphold our Great Commission Course in earnest prayer.  Day visitors are welcome.  Tomorrow, Friday afternoon 11 July we will be joining Rev. Francois Botes for Muslim evangelism in Cravenby.  On Saturday morning 12 July we will be going out to KwaSizabantu Mission, Moreson, for a work party.  Saturday afternoon 12 July will be the soccer match and outreach in Khayelitsha.  Tuesday afternoon and evening will be the Table Mountain hike.  Please let us know if you want to join in on any of these activities.

May the Lord continue to be your joy and strength.

Yours for Reformation and Revival

Dr Peter Hammond
